In June 2022 I finished my Abitur at AvH Lauterbach with a fantastic final grade of 1.1. The road to get there wasn’t always easy, but during my school years I discovered and developed my interests and skills in design, videography, animation and coding.

I started programming as early as 7th grade and by 11th grade I was working on various projects for my school. In the process, I created professional explanatory films for my classmates to help them learn how to use certain programs. Especially during the time of home office, these films proved to be extremely useful.

While I was still at school at AvH, I also took a Cambridge exam. With a score of 188, I successfully passed it and earned the C1 - Advanced English certificate.

A C1 certificate of English proficiency means to me that I have mastered the language at an advanced level. It is an official confirmation of my language competence and understanding of the English language.

After graduating from school, I decided to start a one-year voluntary service in the library „Stadtbücherei Lauterbach“. There I had the opportunity to come into direct contact with working life for the first time and to work on various creative projects in addition to the usual tasks of a librarian.

My tasks included creating signs, lettering and posters to make the library visually appealing and user-friendly. I also had the opportunity to design logos for events and the library itself to strengthen the library’s identity and create a consistent look.

In addition, I was able to use my skills in creating image cards and professionally animated explainer films to present the library and its services in an engaging way. I strived to create high-quality content that caught the interest of customers and made it easier for them to use the services offered.

In all of these areas, my goal was to contribute productively and move the organization forward. I was motivated to contribute my creative ideas and find innovative solutions. In doing so, I worked closely with the team to support the vision and goals of the library. I was able to use my skills especially in concept work and attracting donors by creating overviews and an appealing presentation to support the „Stadtbücherei Lauterbach“.

Since October 2023 I am enrolled at Fulda University of Applied Sciences to take my creative projects to a new level. The „Digital Media“ degree program offers me the opportunity to develop in all creative aspects, from graphic design to video production and coding. These are exactly the areas that excite me and that I love to work in!

I am confident that studying at Fulda University of Applied Sciences will help me reach my full potential and prepare me for a successful career in digital media. I’m looking forward to learning new skills, trying my hand at different projects, and expanding my knowledge by working with experienced instructors and fellow students.

And speaking of „projects“, I would like to introduce my most ambitious project, which I already worked on during my volunteer service at the „Stadtbücherei Lauterbach“.

MovieVoice aims to revolutionize the way we consume digital media today through innovative techniques and features. The idea is to create a platform that brings together all the information about movies and series. It is intended to help users search for cinemas and compare cinema offerings, unite all streaming services in one place, and provide a comprehensive encyclopedia. MovieVoice is said to use artificial intelligence to recognize which voices appear in a currently playing movie, giving users a quick way to figure out which other characters they associate the previously heard voice with.
